   The Long Walk 

Taking time out in Windsor should include a walk down The Long Walk you will need to bring your comfy shoes, it’s 2.64 miles to the Copper Horse and the round trip can take between 2-3 hours. Once you are at the Copper Horse you will have a magnificent view of Berkshire and on a good day you might even be able to see the iconic Wembley Stadium steel balustrades. 
 

   The Thames Riverside 

If you feel like spending some time on the river, The Thames meanders through Windsor, and there are restaurants overlooking the waterside, places to picnic and a range of boat trips which can be booked. 
 

   Town Centre 

Both of our properties are in the heart of Windsor, and you are only minutes’ walk from Windsor Castle and the bustling high street, packed with major high street retailers, as well as some quirky independent stores. You will be amazed at the range of restaurants; you can literally choose from most continents around the world and find some thing for most pallets. 
 

   Savill Gardens 

For the horticulturalists and keen gardeners, a visit to Savill Gardens is a must. There is parking, but this can get busy, so we recommend you arrive early. Check out the website for details on prices and opening times as they vary seasonally.

   Windsor Brewery 

Windsor has its own established brewery and if you have a couple of hours spare on your trip, a visit to the brewery is only a few minutes’ walk from our accommodation. There is a shop on site so you can take home a taste of Windsor to remind you of your stay.

   Windsor Farm Shop 

If you wanted food products produced by the Royal Farms, a visit to The Windsor Farm Shop will need a car as it is a good 30 mins talk from the accommodation. There is plenty of parking and a lovely coffee shop to include in your visit.

Exploring the Windsor Great Park on a sunny day is a perfect way to wile away a few hours, maybe take a picnic there are plenty of beautiful spots to chose from.

   Legoland 

Visiting Grandchildren or friends with younger children? Prebooking your tickets for Legoland is highly recommended, as the park can close its ticket sales if its at capacity. There is a bus that takes you from Windsor High Street right up to the gates of the park. Allocating a full day is essential as the queues for some of the rides get remarkably busy in the height of the season.

Thorpe Park is only 10 miles from Windsor and the drive time is approximately 30 mins. If you have teenagers or are young at heart, Thorpe Park has an incredible selection of rides for the thrill seekers. Always prebook your tickets to avoid disappointment.
